Down Syndrome and Vaccines
I’m not sure if this holds true or not. While it is not proven it has been theorized that downs syndrome was actually caused by the first vaccines. This is entirely possible time line wise. Jenner’s smallpox vaccine 1798, Downs syndrome was identified in 1866. (of course it could just have been broader diagnostic criteria and better trained doctors) Downs syndrome is caused by an extra (3rd) 21st chromosome and affects about 1 in every 800 children. If it is actually true that the first vaccines are responsible for downs syndrome think about the implications. Vaccines would be capable of changing the human genetic code. Although I know and believe vaccines help children as many other people believe to. I believe that vaccines help keep kids healthy because our son has to have a rsv vaccine in November. Our son is also up to date on all of his shots, and as well as my other two children also. I just had read a article about how down syndrome was actually caused by the first vaccines but I don’t know how that would be possible because other wise alot more kids that have vaccines would have downs? True or not True? I would like to thank anyone for any input. I also have read that esophageal atresia is also more common in downs baby’s however i don’t see how that could be true either because then esophageal atresia would be just as common as down syndrome and that is not the case at all.

How would the first vaccines have caused this? Most cases of trisomy 21 are caused by a mutation that occurs at conception. Are you theorizing that because the parents were vaccinated, this causes the sperm cell or the egg cell not to split the same way it would have otherwise? My thinking is that vaccines may have started around the same time as other advances in medical care that helped theses fragile babies live & survive more often. I know my son would not be alive today without some of the medical advances (monitors, ability to do a C-section at 32 weeks and keep the baby alive in the NICU until he was big enough to suck and gain weight, etc). Correlation is not causation.
This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I enjoy seeing websites that understand the value of providing a prime resource for free. I truly loved reading your post. Thanks!
